The mission of the Health Department is two-fold: to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Milford and to protect environmental resources vital to human health.
The Board of Health strives to meet these goals through proactive service, continually reviewing and expanding our efforts in response to community needs, and by serving as a resource for residents and other boards and committees.
Additionally, it is our responsibility to promulgate and ensure compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations to protect quality of life for all Milford residents.
The Board of Health serves as the local arm of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
