The following will be collected

  • Aerosols
  • Ammonia-based cleaners
  • Anti-freeze
  • Disinfectants
  • Drain openers
  • Flea powder
  • Furniture polishes
  • Gasoline
  • Herbicides
  • Household batteries
  • Insecticides
  • Kerosene
  • Mothballs
  • Motor oil and car batteries
  • Oven cleaners
  • Paint removers
  • Paint thinners
  • Pesticides
  • Photo chemicals
  • Rust removers
  • Stains
  • Swimming pool chemicals
  • Toilet bowl cleaners
  • Transmission fluid
  • Turpentine
  • Varnishes

The following will NOT be accepted

  • Latex and oil based paints  - these must go to the Transfer station. It costs $2/gallon-sized container and $1/quart- and pint-sized containers.
  • Commercial or industrial generators
  • Smoke detectors - They should be returned to the manufacturer for proper disposal

Other Materials

Dioxin contaminated pesticides, etiologicals, explosives, gas cylinders, pathologicals, PCB'sradioactive material, and shock sensitive materials will not be accepted. A trained chemist will be on site to give advise on what to do with such items.
