Pre-Town Meeting Forum October 22nd 2019

The October 2017 Town Meeting established a Town Meeting Study and Improvement Committee (the “Committee”). An enumerated duty of the Committee is to organize pre-town meeting forums.

The Pre-Town Meeting Forum is intended to provide Town Meeting members an opportunity to better understand the purpose and scope of an article and to be able to ask questions of the sponsor in a less formal setting than is the case at Town Meeting. Not every article in the Warrant will be discussed. The articles to be addressed will be selected by the Committee and the forum will be open to the public.

The forum requires the participation of the article sponsor, or its designated representative, to present the article and respond to questions. Town Moderator attorney Michael J. Noferi will moderate the Forum.

It is anticipated that a Pre-Town Meeting Forum will be held prior to each Annual and Special Town Meeting. As the program develops, additional information will be provided.
