Cemetery Interment Services Request for Proposals

The Town of Milford Massachusetts, Vernon Grove Board of Trustees are soliciting Request for Proposals (RFPs) for interment services at the Vernon Grove Cemetery and North Purchase Street Cemetery.

The contract will be for one year starting May 1, 2022, renewable up to 2 times upon request from the Vernon Grove Board of Trustees. The RFP can be requested at the Veron Grove Cemetery email or picked up at Milford Highway Department.  All quotes must be returned on or before April 30, 2022 to the Vernon Grove Board of Trustees.

The successful respondent must furnish labor that can work in harmony with all other elements of labor employed or to be employed; that all employees to be employed at the worksite will have successfully completed a course in construction safety, hazardous condition training and health approved by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration that is at least 10 hours in duration at the time the employee begins work and who shall furnish documentation of successful completion of said course with the first certified payroll report for each employee and that he will comply fully with all laws and regulations applicable.

The cemeteries handle approximately 30-40 burials per year total. The successful respondent will perform the following services through direction of the Vernon Grove Trustees and the Cemetery Administrator.

The Vernon Grove Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive any informality in a bid, and to award the contract deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Milford.
