Town of Milford Number 2 Fuel Oil Bid

The Select Board of the Town of Milford invites sealed bids from qualified bidders to provide #2 Fuel Oil at the following buildings as set forth in the bid specifications. Prospective bidders shall provide the Milford Select Board with contact names, addresses, and telephone numbers of all municipalities in Massachusetts for which they have provided fuel oil for the past two years. This information will be used to check references.

Prospective vendors will be bidding on the Boston low posting as of Monday, April 10, 2023 (as listed in the "Daily Petroleum Prices" section of the New York Journal of Commerce), plus or minus increment for #2 fuel oil will be per gallon. Any decrease in the Boston low posting prices, as listed in the New York Journal of Commerce, for all types of fuel oil contained in the specifications, shall result in an equal savings to the cost of the fuel oil. Any increase in the commercial tank car price as listed in the Journal of Commerce shall be added to the cost of the fuel oil, provided that written notification is sent to the Select Board within five (5) days of the posting. The date of ordering determines the setting of price.

The Bid should be in an envelope bearing on the outside the name and address of the Proposer, addressed to the Milford Town Hall, Town Administrator and Select Board’s Office, 52 Main Street, Milford, MA 01757. The Bid must be properly filled out, signed, sealed and endorsed: "Fuel Oil Bid".

The Bid documents will be available 10:00 am, March 29, 2023, at the Milford Town Hall, Town Administrator and Select Board’s Office, 52 Main Street, Milford, MA 01757 (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Wednesday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 11:30 am) and on the Town of Milford website. All bids are due by 2:00 pm, April 18, 2023, at the Milford Town Hall, Town Administrator and Select Board's Office, 52 Main Street, Milford, MA 01757. Bids shall be publicly opened and read by the Chief Procurement Officer at that time.

No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after the bid opening date. Action on the contract award will be taken within this thirty (30) day period. If bids are awarded, the Milford Select Board intends to execute a contract with each successful bidder on or about Monday, April 24, 2023.

The Select Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive any informality in a bid, and to award the contract deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Milford.
