What is Stormwater?
Stormwater is rainwater and snow melt that runs off buildings, streets, and lawns. It carries dirt, oil, trash and other pollutants into the storm drains. This runoff is discharged into local streams, rivers and lakes. It is estimated that over 60% of water pollution comes from stormwater discharge.
